Mama Love - Raw Love

Friday night I had the PRIVILEGE of attending my mother's art exhibition at a RAW Adelaide function in the heart of the city. To say I'm proud is an understatement.

This woman has given and sacrificed for her four children. She has both struggled and triumphed as a single parent (I choose the word 'parent' as she often played the role of both Mum & Dad). Along the way her passion and skill had been buried under the everyday life of the past 20 years. All us children have wanted is to see our Mum happy, so you can imagine how encouraging we were for her to pick up the pencils and start on a fresh page (so to speak).

It has been a honour to see her blossom in the last few years now living off her commission work and regularly taking part in pushing herself through exhibitions and competitions. A truly talented and inspiring lady, she has always told us to follow our dreams so it's amazing to see her finally following hers.

This week's Mama Love is dedicated to my Mum (she'll blubber when she reads this). I'd love to hear stories of how your mama's have shaped & inspired you!
