Bra Fittings Debunked

Something many of us put off for too long is a proper bra fitting. Let alone updating our bras. Whilst it's not exactly "fun", when done correctly, it's also not as bad as many of us build it up to be in our heads.

Every fitter and lingerie shop will have their own particular way of doing things but here is what you can expect when you visit Frankie & Dandelion:

No appointment necessary. Pop in store any time and I will be happy to help. That being said, sometimes I am away buying or out for appointments. Allow roughly 30 minutes from start to finish. Sometimes they are quicker, sometimes they are longer. As a rough guide though it's best to allow a minimum of half an hour.
"Will I have to undress in front of you?" No. The simple honest answer is no. I honestly believe this question is what makes so many young girls and women fear fittings. I am always sensitive to the fact that a woman allowing me to check the correct fit of her bra is probably feeling uncomfortable and vulnerable at the time. So it is my job to make you feel as relaxed as possible.
What a fitting actually entails: Upon meeting we will go through the different styles and narrow down exactly what it is you are after. We will select a rough size to start with, you will then go into a change room by yourself and put said bra on. Only when you are comfortable for me to enter, will I quickly pop in and check the fit. Simply by looking I can see where you need to go up or down/be adjusted. I will then step out, grab the correct size and pass it into you to try on. Again, only stepping in to check once you have it on and are comfortable for me to do so. That's it! No tape measure, contact or judgement. I am only looking at the way the bra is fitting you, not your body as a whole. If at any point you feel uncomfortable you can simply say so and we will end the fitting. However, hopefully by the end of it we will have found the perfect bra/fit for you!
You can choose to go on our bra register at the end of the fitting. This means we will record your name, bra size and the style bra you chose. That way the next time you need a new pair we can find them for you with ease (and no fitting!).
If nothing else, at least get a good sports bra. Running, jumping, bouncing, etc requires a secure fitting bra NO MATTER your cup size. Don't be fooled smaller cup sizes, you still need support to protect your ladies too. I've listed some of our best sellers below.
